Katherine Stewart‑Jones is a Canadian cross‑country skier and two‑time Olympian whose connection to the sport began in the small ski community of Chelsea, Quebec. Growing up surrounded by trails and a family that loved the outdoors, she spent her childhood exploring the Gatineau Park on skis, developing a quiet determination and a deep appreciation for the sport long before she ever imagined racing on the world stage.

Her competitive journey began at a young age, and it didn’t take long for her talent to stand out. As a junior, Katherine represented Canada at multiple World Junior and U23 Championships, steadily climbing the international ranks. Her breakthrough came in 2017 when she earned her first World Cup points, marking the start of her rise to become one of Canada’s top skiers.

Katherine made her Olympic debut at PyeongChang 2018 and continued to build momentum over the next quadrennial. She delivered some of the strongest distance performances of her career during the 2021–22 season, earning multiple top‑30 World Cup results and securing her place on the Beijing 2022 Olympic team. There, she helped lead Canada to a ninth‑place finish in the women’s 4×5 km relay, one of the nation’s best relay results in recent years.

In the following two seasons, Katherine continued to establish herself as a contender on the World Cup circuit. She broke into the top 10 during the Tour de Ski, then followed it up the next year with a fourth-place finish, just narrowly missing the podium.
